3641 | On the evening of 14-07-2017 I drove all the way 'up' to Grums (about 50 minutes) to pay a visit to the station and hopefully catch some nice trains, possibly even at the Billerud site. When I arrived Green Cargo Rc4 nr 1278 with train 5668 was waiting at the small yard. It waited for the X52 nr 9080 going north with train 372 before leaving Grums. Soon after that, Green Cargo Rd2 nr 1081 with train 9426 passed Grums (also going North) I noticed I had about 30 minutes before the next train would arrive, so I moved to the viaduct close by and caught the arrival of the Green Cargo Rc4 1190 and Rd2 1079 with train 9010, again going North. When I returned at the station the 9010 was still waiting, apparently for the arrival of the Hector Rail train 41639 with wood for Billerud and the engine was the 161-105-2. Immediately after it arrived the Green Cargo duo set off in the direction of Kil. The driver of the wood train parked the engine on the yard and next was the diesel shunter that came to pick up the woodtrain. Because the tracks go uphill, it had to work hard to get the train moving which was a beautiful sight (and sound). I rushed to the Billerud site, that was undergoing a major upgrade and was one big construction site. Just in time I set up the tripod when at the railroad crossing to see the train arrive at the Billerud yard. A very pleasant evening came to an end. |
