| 51 | In July 1998 we had a short stop in Umeå to document the railways there. The first location is the station itself. Here we see the Z70 713 shunting with the freight train that has just arrived. It is pushing the wagons (also the Eloc Rc4 1314) and sorting them in the right order. Next we went to the ASG terminal (DHL now, which is situated next to the railway) where we see the same Z70 passing by with some wagons. I think they are for Fazer bakery, because that is the closest industry with a junction there. After that we see the Z70 departing from the ICA warehouse with some wagons that will be coupled to the other wagons on a side track next to the main track. A little while later it departs to the station. The last shots were made next to the industrial rail close to VK. You can see on google maps that the situation did change a lot nowadays, but is still recognizable. |
