| 96 | The 9th part of the video of our rail trip to Sweden in June 2005. This morning we started even earlier and caught the arrival of the freight train from Strömtorp in Bofors. The shunting was as efficient as yesterday and now I was invited on one of the two Z65's cabins. They first went to a wood-processing factory nearby the harbor, where some wagons were exchanged. Then they went to Karlskoga again where the Gas-terminal was visited and Ovako Steel got some new wagons. One of the Z65's was changed with a refurbished one. On the way back to Karlskoga the oil wagons were picked up again and then the train to Strömtorp was formed. This time we filmed the departure to Strömtorp from two different places. Bofors definitely 'stole our heart' with its beautiful 'small' scale and nice activities. The 'curved' layout looks very nice, although the abandoned sidings show a much more vital history. |
