| 101 | The third part of the video from our rail trip to Sweden in June 2006. The Green T44 384 arrives from Göteborg at the station of Billingsfors with wagons (I think they were loaded with paper - pulp for Rexcell in Skåpafors) that will be put on the loading area where they will be unloaded with a loader into a truck. Billingsfors has a junction to the paper factory, but that is not in use anymore (in fact as we have visited Billingsfors in 1995 and 1996 I seem to remember that it wasn't used back then either). The weed is growing between the tracks and the rail is not in good condition anymore, but at least the freight train still went here in 2006. The shunting is fast and efficient as all the wagons are ready for pickup and the T44 leaves for Göteborg. We catch it a little before Mellerud as it passes under a bridge (and gives a horn...) and after a fast drive to Mellerud station, we also see its departure here. |
