3147 While filming in Älmhult on 31-7-2015 I noticed the Green Cargo T44 nr 349 was standing on the yard. There seemed to be no activity, but on 21:25 I saw a Green Cargo driver walking towards the diesel engine.
I rushed to move closer with my camera and tripod because I wanted to record the sound of the starting engine.
When the driver climbed on the engine, I quickly set up my tripod, even though I was a little too far away.
Luckily the engine did not start at first and the driver got out of the cabin to work on the engine.
I grabbed the opportunity and moved a bit closer to be able to record the beautiful sound of the cold engine starting.
After starting, the driver made sure the engine was warm enough before moving to the wagons that were standing on the yard.
They were pulled to the tracks next to the locomotive shed, where the engine ran around. I heard the crossing bells ring and turned the camera around to film a speeding X2000 and after that the T44 pulled the wagons back to one of the main tracks where they were left for a nightly freight train to Hallsberg to pick them up.
Since it was getting too dark, I decided not to wait for that.
